“My name is Michael Dailey, my wife and I are the FIRST couple Dr. Hixon, has performed the surgery on! We’re very PROUD of this fact! I am 5’6, was a whopping 417 lbs, along with reoccurring tachycardia = DEADLY combination!! I use to HIDE and sleep my days away mostly uncontrollable, because of the sleep apnea. As I am sure many obese people do, I suffered from Embarrassment, depression, severe moodiness, sleep apnea, diabetes, high blood pressure, arrhythmia and LAZINESS!! My wife and kids had to dress me; I couldn’t see my feet below my “hot pocket” (my kids name for my Enormous belly). I was on a suicide-eating mission DAILY! I had gotten so big; people no longer recognized me. “Relations” with my wife was about OUT of the question, due to my heart issues and my weight!! MEN, as you know … this was THE LAST STRAW… That’s when I knew MAJOR Changes were Necessary ASAP!

Needless, to say that today September 22, 2005, exactly 10 months, 6 days, and two hours after my surgery (November 16, 2004) I now weigh 237 lbs. I have dropped approximately 180 lbs!!! Life is GREAT and I have a RENEWED zest for life!! I LOVE Myself First; then my beautiful wife for her Passionate insistence, loyalty and pursuit of Happiness; my dynamic & crazy kids; have the utmost respect and gratitude for Dr. Hixon and his Staff! Your staff is the Best and I think they need a RAISE Dr. Hixon! (wink) I have been through so much, and would do it ALL again, just to feel as Healthy and Whole as I feel today! “Greetings, Dr. Hixon, Staff & Pre/Post-ops! I am Mrs. Dailey, a very GRATEFUL patient of Peachtree Surgical Specialist. I, like my hubby, but have so MUCH 2 be Thankful 4!

I am 5’3 & use 2 weigh 277 lbs & had a BMI of 46.9. I suffered greatly from debilitating back pain & such associated with my morbid obesity. I honestly did not realize HOW big we truly were, until AFTER surgery & saw our Before pictures! It was a HUGE awakening 4 me! Sad but true!

Michael & I had surgery 5 days apart, he made me go FIRST in his words “…2 make sure Dr. Hixon REALLY knows what he’s doing, before I get there!” (lol) I was in & out in 2 days, I have had no surgical complications 2 date; I feel wonderful & look even more wonderful! I went from a size 28W (which I’d never Previously disclose) 2 a size 16—I haven’t seen a 16 since I was 16! I still got “it” in the Right places!!

As of 9-22-05, I weigh about 175; I have lost about 100 lbs in 10 months. I ENJOY working out, walking, taking my supplements, B12 shots monthly & I love the OptiSource Product line. I realize that even though the weight is just dropping off, this still takes WORK. I have gained Self Control & Self CONFIDENCE! I meet Dr. Hixon on January 25, 2005 and I knew right away that he was the doctor I wanted to perform my gastric bypass surgery. He has a gentle spirit and he takes time to listen to your fears as well as your concerns. Usually doctors run in and out because they have so many patients but Dr. Hixon takes time to talk with you. He told me exactly what to expect and said “not to worry I was in good hands.”

On May 6, 2005 I underwent gastric bypass surgery and when I awoke Dr. Hixon was right there. Since that day I have not had any problems from the surgery (he was right I was in good hands). On each follow up visit he tells me what I need to do next and I follow those instructions and sure enough I have experienced continued weight loss.

I highly recommend Dr. Hixon and his staff. When my follow up visits are complete and he releases me – I will truly miss them.

I was very very impressed. I was thinking as he was talking to me "this man loves what he does" wow!!! He answered all of my and my mother’s questions. The other thing I was impressed with was he being a doctor should touch his patients. He showed me where and how he was going to do the surgery that was a plus in my book. He kept me informed and his staff was very very on top of things. He told me the good and the bad he didn’t shy away from anything. If I had to do it all over again I would call upon him to do my surgery. Even before my surgery the day of he came in the operating room and answered a question I had. That put my mind at ease. I feel that Dr Hixon is a very very very good surgeon because he really cares about his craft and his patients. I think him 1 million times a day for helping me change my, life and my way of living. I wish there were more in the medical field like him. I did everything he and his staff told me to do I do believe doing that and having the mind set that I didn’t want to go back in the hospital for anything crazy because I didn’t follow their instruction. Dr. Clarence Hixon is one of the personable professionals in this field. He was extremely thorough and patience. Throughout my experience he has always responded promptly (not hours or days later) to all my inquiries. He himself always got back to me and not an associate. Have my first appointment with him on July 20th. Had surgery on Aug 23rd. His staff was very professional and caring. Made you feel comfortable in your decision. Dr. Hixon took all the time to answer any questions I had. Even gave us his cell phone number for if we had others and needed answers. Draws pictures to help illustrate what he is talking about. Explained the ups and downs, and advised he was only a call away when the downs hit!! I have seen him once a month for follow-up. Never have to wait long in his office. He understands everyone’s time is valuable. He did blood work and due to my numbers being well within ranges I don’t have to see him unless there is a problem until Apr. Dr. Hixon made me feel like a person with value and not a number with a $ on them. I owe him my life.
